Our youth training programs are designed for athletes of all levels—whether you're in elementary, middle, or high school. Every athlete receives professional-level, individualized training tailored to their age, experience, and specific goals. Coach Cody is a former D1 Track and Cross Country Runner. Currently he is pursuing his pro card in long distance triathlon and a sub 2:30 marathon (current PR 2:41:35).
Coach Cody believes in a holistic approach to athletic development, helping young athletes build not only the skills they need to succeed in their sport but also the habits that lead to lifelong health and wellness. He will not compromise an athletes in season and encourages communication with an athletes head coach. He has seen too many athletes get burned out too early or receive conflicting messages from their coaches.

Meet Coach Cody
What started as a way to get fit for baseball tryouts in high school, ended in a life long passion for pushing myself to be the best endurance athlete I can be. Fast forward 20 years and I’m still striving to meet new challenges as a runner and a triathlete. I was a Division 1 track and cross country athlete for the University of Charlotte NC and I’ve raced competitively since 2006. I have a broad background as an athlete, wining or finishing in the top 10 of everything from 5k, to obstacle course races, and now triathlons.
I bring that same passion and commitment as a personal trainer and running coach; with over 6 years of experience in the gym and 4 years as a high school cross country and track coach. I’ve worked with youth, high school, college athletes, as well as adult weekend warriors to build better strength, endurance, and performance in competition and everyday life. Currently I am a Coach with Yorktown High School Cross Country and Track & Field.
I’m a big believer in less is more with my athletes, where consistency and intensity are the keys to unlocking better performance and less setbacks. I use a combinations of methods through coaches such as Jack Daniels and Brad Hudson to build programs that make sense for where you are as an athlete to build a road map to where you want to be and I’ve used this successfully for all of my athletes as well as myself.

Guided pacing strategies—coaches will join you on track or medium/long efforts when applicable
Track-based workouts customized to your pace and goals. Coaches will plan your target paces and keep you on track.
Expert advice on fueling, hydration, breathing, and race-day mindset
Strength & conditioning cues to support form and reduce injury risk
